They are not book reviews in the usual sense. They are more like book musings. I was inspired to attempt this unconventional approach by the Polish poet Wislawa Szymborska (she won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1996). For many years she was a columnist, reviewing a wide variety of books with wit and whimsy.
